The Digicel Fiji Young Kulas have embarked on a historic journey, becoming the first-ever U20 team to represent Fiji on the international stage. After concluding a successful 10-day training camp in San Francisco, where they tested their mettle against local clubs and university teams, the Young Kulas have now landed in San Jose, Costa Rica. This marks their final training camp ahead of the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Colombia, an event that promises to be a significant milestone in Fijian football. The team’s time in Costa Rica is crucial as they fine-tune their strategies and tactics, ensuring they are in peak form for the challenges ahead.

As they prepare for the tournament, the Young Kulas will engage in two closed-door matches against Morocco and Costa Rica on the 24th and 26th of this month, respectively. These matches will provide the team with invaluable experience and allow the coaches to make final adjustments before the squad travels to Medellin, Colombia. The anticipation is palpable as the nation rallies behind these talented young women, who are set to make their mark on the world stage.

All the best to the Young Kulas as they carry the hopes of Fiji with them! ☺️🫶
