Suva Grammar School’s standout Under-16 rugby players, captain Ratu Jimmy Waqaivolavola and vice-captain Josua Nadredre, are names to watch as they take on a new chapter in their rugby and academic careers in New Zealand.
Both have been awarded scholarships to Massey High School in Auckland, where they will continue their studies while honing their rugby skills.
These two forwards were key to their team’s success this year, playing vital roles in securing the Under-16 championship title for Suva Grammar. They are determined to carry that success with them as they join their new team abroad.
Coach Epeli Osbourne, who has been guiding their development, is confident the boys are ready for the challenges ahead, both on and off the field, as they further their rugby journeys in New Zealand.
Before their departure, Waqaivolavola and Nadredre expressed heartfelt thanks to Suva Grammar for shaping them into strong players and proud representatives of the Grammarian spirit.
