Christmas is literally two days away and I haven’t started my Christmas shopping at all, but only because times are hard and the struggle is real and it’s starting to look like it’s the thought that counts.

In true Fijian fashion, this isn’t exactly something new. We like to leave almost everything to the last minute and one of my theories suggests that it’s because at the end of the day when everyone is enjoying their Christmas together, the stress of the days leading up to Christmas feels completely worth it, which is probably why we feel like it’s ok to do it every single year.

There’s nothing really wrong with it if you’ve successfully mastered it, but it isn’t really something I’d encourage you to do.

If you still haven’t done your Christmas shopping and you’re planning to do it tomorrow (or if you’re feeling dangerous, you’ll do it on Christmas morning before lunch time), then all the best to you!
