A 24-year-old carpenter has passed away in a road accident near Lakeba Street along Princes Road in Suva.
The man from Nadonumai in Lami was allegedly heavily intoxicated and was sitting in the middle of the road when he was hit by a taxi.
The driver rushed the victim to the CWM Hospital where he was admitted in critical condition and later passed away.
