Our Elders always teach us not to lie and sometimes this is something we take lightly.
A 27-year-old taxi driver from Nadi has been charged with one count of giving false information to a public servant.
The driver reported to Namaka Police that he was allegedly assaulted and robbed by four youths in front of a shop in Namaka.
It is alleged he informed Police that the youths later drove off with his vehicle which was found abandoned a few hours later with damages to the front left side.
Police say from the evidence gathered and statements of all witnesses, it was established that the 27-year-old had given false information.
