As we approach the festive season, the number of minors going missing or not returning after days on end without letting their families know is sure to rise, which is concerning enough as it is.
In the past couple of months, we’ve seen kids going missing and not being found after a few days and personally, I think we can find a way around this.
The first thing we need to do is not berate the parents or guardians of the minor when they post about the situation on social media. Nobody is perfect and things happen that are just beyond our control sometimes. What we should do, however, is offer to help however way we can because God forbid, it could’ve been us in their shoes asking for help and the last thing we’d need is to be given a lecture while one of our loved ones is not with us.
Which begs the question, what would YOU do if you had the opportunity to start an initiative that would help lower the risk of minors going missing?
