Fiji Football Association’s Chief Executive Mohammed Yusuf has confirmed that Fiji will be participating in the inaugural OFC Futsal Women’s Nations Cup next year, after OFC released it’s competition calendar for next year.
The 2024 Competition Calendar shows the tournament will be played from the 18th to 24th August in the Solomon Islands.
Fiji’s Futsal Head Coach Jerry Sam will be in charge of the women’s team.
Selections is already in process from the women’s weekly competitions that began early this year.
The Suva Women’s Futsal club won the first ever Women’s Futsal IDC.
The Nasinu Women’s Futsal team is currently leading the Digicel Fiji Southern Women’s Futsal League 2023 with 13points, closely followed by Northland Tailevu Women’s with 10 points and Suva and Rewa Women’s Futsal both on 9 points, while Tailevu Naitasiri sits on 5 points.
