A man in India is referred to as the “world’s richest beggar” after amassing millions of dollars on Mumbai’s streets.
Born into a lower-class family prevented Bharat Jain from pursuing a formal education. He was forced to work on the streets because he couldn’t find stable employment, where he earned his living.
The current value of Jain’s assets is Rs 7.5 crores ($1,991,292.49 FJD).
He begs for about $728 per month, which enables him to pay $364 for two of his shops and own a two-bedroom apartment.
His unusual means of earning money have enabled other family members to run a stationary store and give his children an education.
