This isn’t as uncommon as most people (non-islanders lol) might think.

This morning, Penny, Bunene, and Drix were talking about how some of their relatives that they hardly talk to are all of a sudden blowing up their inbox because they were giving away Golden Tickets for tonight’s Digicel Concert.

It was something that they all had in common and it’s also common knowledge that most people have these types of relatives.

These are the gang that you don’t know very well. You know that you’re related, but you don’t spend too much time getting to know them that much because you know that you will hardly hang out with each other anyways.

You’re very civil when you’re around them and you hold a conversation enough with each other to just let each other know that you are aware of how you two are related.

Even communicating with each other on social media seems like a bit of a stretch, but as soon as they find out that you have something that they can potentially benefit from, they are blowing up your phones and asking about mum and dad and how you are and how your personal life is just so they can cosy up enough to you for you to give them what they want.

From one point of view, it’s not a bad thing since it’s good to always help your family out, but how far is too far?
