Taraji P. Henson has been in the movie scene for quite some years now and we will never forget ‘Cookie Lyon’ in Empire which was one of her iconic tv characters ever. She is what we call a jack of all trades and is always up to explore new things.
In a new cover story interview for Women’s Health, the actress — who studied musical theatre at Howard University revealed that she’s been working on new music, which she expects to release at the start of next year.
“I’ve been secretly working on an EP,”
she added
“But it wasn’t like, ‘Taraji wants to sing,’ and then 20 writers come and bring me their songs.”
Henson explained that instead of having people write songs for her, she’s been penning lyrics herself and instead is collaborating with high-end producers for feel-good, sexy tracks.
She explained that her music is different
“[It] makes you want to dance until the sun comes up,”
I don’t know about you but that statement alone is making me feel some type of way.
“I want people to know that it’s never too late for anything,” she added. “You can get your health together and live out your wildest dreams.”
Taraji has been open about struggling with depression anxiety and has revealed that she loves to work out often, in her words “anything to with the butt”…. as it helps her feel good.
Well, it’s safe to say that Taraji is heading towards becoming our new Clubs Queen…Yaaaaaaasssssss!!
