It’s fascinating to see the different perspectives on widely accepted advice. Sometimes we often use this advice to gauge of\ur lives and it becomes a part of our decision making and lifestyle
Here’s a reflection on each point:
Don’t go to bed angry
A good night of sleep is way better, then arguing with someone when you are tired. Address the issue with a clear mind later.
Never give up
While perseverance is essential, there are situations where letting go is the wisest choice for personal well-being.
Don’t be afraid to do what you love, and the money will follow
Pursuing passion can lead to fulfillment but may not always guarantee financial success. Not to sound pessimistic but not all of our shots will lead to a basket, with that being said our intentions can be pure but the results will sometimes come from forces beyond our control.
Tough it out
This statement is outdated and doesn’t take into account peoples health, especially our mental health. Taking care of oneself is crucial, and seeking help when needed is not a sign of weakness.
Forgive and forget
This is one of the most twisted ways of thinking and it’s giving off the vibe of sweeping things under the rug. Forgiveness is admirable, but it’s okay not to forget, especially if it’s part of a pattern of harmful behavior.
What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger
Adversity can indeed shape us, but it’s important to note that it can also have lasting negative effects. The trauma from all those hard times and lessons can contribute to many factors of how we deal with problems and people. These issues can even cause self esteem issues, the ability to trust and so forth.
If she says NO, pursue her harder
This piece of advice should never be given, Consent is paramount in any relationship, and respecting boundaries is crucial. Crossing this line is not only morally wrong it has serious legal implications, so please don’t do it.
These are just a hand full of advices that we’ve heard in the past till present and feel free to add some in the comment section so we can do a part 2. All in all these advices are for the 1 percenter and some the advices given above should never be given.
