Everybody is still on that New Year’s Resolution trip and that’s great and all until you reach the third month of the year and you just decide to give up.
This is the case almost every year, so we’ve decided to compile a list off short-term goals that you can set for yourself that you don’t necessarily have to consider resolutions.
BEING PUNCTUAL
If you’re the type of person to constantly be late to places, especially at work, then maybe it’s time to consider changing some habits.
There can be many reasons as to why you’re always late and if one of the reasons is that you just take so long to get ready, then maybe consider getting ready hours before you actually have to leave for the event?
SPEAK POSITIVITY TO OTHERS MORE OFTEN
A kind word to someone will do more for them than you think. You never know what people are going through and maybe your kind word will make their day.
EAT HEALTHY
I know this is starting to sound more and more like a resolutions list, but just bear with me.
Eating healthy doesn’t have to be something that you decide at the beginning of every year. It can be something you decide every day. The decision to eat healthy is one that you can make whenever you have the urge to eat something deep fried and covered in chocolate.
WHEN YOU DECIDE TO DO SOMETHING, MAKE SURE TO FINISH IT
Some people have a problem with finishing tasks that they set for themselves.
One way to help you finish your tasks if you’re that type of person is making a to-do list for yourself.
Just check off everything that you’ve already done and then make sure you finish the next task before the day ends. The feeling that you get after you finish all the things you’re supposed to do will help you sleep better at night.
CUT DOWN ON SOME OF THE LEARNED VICES YOU ACCUMULATED OVER THE YEARS
This can be anything from smoking, drinking alcohol, consuming copious amounts of grog, or using colorful language.
I’m not saying you have to completely quit cold turkey, but doing these things in moderation can also be very beneficial to your mental and physical health.
The great thing about this list is that you can always add more things that you think would be great short-term goals and you can even take some out if you feel like you’ve achieved them.
Happy New Year from me and here’s to another great year of you being awesome!
