You’ve likely seen both Deadpool motion pictures at this point — and possibly you’ve indeed seen Once Upon a Deadpool, the toned-down alter of Deadpool 2 that highlights Deadpool wearing a Santa cap. Well, concurring with Mr Deadpool himself — Ryan Reynolds, that’s — there was nearly an entirety freakin’ Christmas-themed Deadpool motion picture. But, it never happened.
In a modern meet with Huge Issue, Ryan clarified that he composed a whole Deadpool Christmas movie back in 2018, at the side of co-writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. “But it got misplaced within the rearranging of Disney securing Fox, and it never got made,” he clarified. That’s a shame! But Ryan isn’t giving up trust fair, however, and he accepts that the extension may before long return, be similar to Santa on his sleigh.
“Maybe one day, we’ll get to create that motion picture,” he said. “It’s not melodic, but it’s a full Deadpool Christmas motion picture. So, one day.”
