In the midst of Britney Spears’ divorce from Sam Asghari, Pink is offering her support.
Pink modified the lyrics to her song “Don’t Let Me Get Me” at the Summer Carnival tour’s Detroit stop to pay tribute to Spears. Pink states in the original song that she is sick of being compared to Spears.
She sang
“Sweet Britney Spears,” not “Tired of being compared to damn Britney Spears.”
The rest of the line is,
“She’s so pretty / That just ain’t me.”
When the audience heard the words that had been changed, the audience screamed out, “aww,” showing their appreciation for the decision.
Pink told People that she’s always felt like a big sister to Spears, despite the fact that the song was long thought to be a jab to Spears.
