The space race just got a new entrant! France’s Zephalto is offering passengers the chance to travel to the stratosphere in a balloon for $132,000 per person, come 2025.
The company is planning to make around 60 flights per year with a 6-person maximum on each.
Each balloon will have two pilots on board that will take passengers to peak altitude for three hours 15.5 miles above the ground. The company aims to provide an experience that brings the best bits of French hospitality — fine food, wine and design — to the edges of space for those who can afford the six-figure ticket.
Would y’all pay for lunch in space?!
