After news broke that Liam Payne’s first posthumous song was set for release on Friday, producer Sam Pounds announced he would delay the single by the late singer and former One Direction member, deferring the decision “to all family members.”

Pounds initially planned to release “Do No Wrong” on November 1, less than three weeks after Payne’s death following a fall from a hotel balcony in Argentina.

In a post, now deleted, Pounds wrote about the song: “I hope this will be a blessing to the world as Liam always dreamed. I pray angels bring comfort as you listen. May this song bring blessings to Ruth, Bear, and the entire family, overshadowing negativity. May healing and positivity embrace everyone… Let’s all BE the blessing with love.”

Now, the release has been postponed. Pounds wrote in a new post, “I want all proceeds to go to a charity chosen by (the family) or however they wish.” He continued, “Although we all love the song, it’s not the right time. We’re still mourning Liam’s passing, and I want the family to grieve in peace and prayer. We will all wait.” Payne passed away on October 16 at 31.

Officials reported that Payne died from multiple traumatic injuries from the fall, with a toxicology report indicating multiple drugs, including pink cocaine, in his system at the time.
