The 29-year-old singer of “All About That Bass” revealed on Jan. 30 that she is expecting her second child during an interview on TODAY.

“I’m expecting!” Riley Trainor, who Trainor and her husband Daryl Sabara already have as a son, told TODAY. “We achieved!”

Trainor revealed they know the baby’s sex but are going to keep it a secret for the time being after Sabara briefly joined him in congratulating the TODAY crew via video conference.

Trainor stated she penned a book called “Dear Future Mama,” which would be released on April 25, at the same time that she announced she was expecting. Regarding her first pregnancy, Trainor said, “I felt quite alone while I was pregnant.” “I didn’t have any friends who were pregnant with me because it was also the Covid era, and I just remember thinking that I don’t want anyone else to feel that way. Therefore, I can help you and share all the TMI details of my pregnancy, including how crazy it was, and become your future best friend.

In a TikTok video from the day before, Trainor gave away the fact that she was expecting by showing how her friends and family were reacting to a “secret I’ve been concealing for the past few months.” During a surprise appearance on TODAY with Hoda & Jenna in 2020, Trainor made her first pregnancy announcement. The singer remembers telling Hoda in an earlier interview that she desired a huge brood.

When discussing who to notify first, she stated, “I said that I’ve been telling Hoda since I was 19 and going to the TODAY show that I’ll have the most babies in the world. “We’re so happy that finally occurred.”
