A man’s entire life has been shattered into pieces after discovering he is genetically related to the mother of his two young children. He explained how he was adopted two minutes after his birth – and doesn’t know anything about his biological parents as he was part of a closed adoption.
However, part of his family history came to light after undergoing testing to see whether he could donate a kidney to his wife of six years. The man said: “My wife got sick just after our son was born and now is in need of a kidney transplant. We checked with her relatives and none were a match or a viable donors.
He offered to donate his own kidney knowing it was a long shot but to his surprise, he was not only viable to donate his kidney but he and his wife shared the same genes.
After digging further the doctor concluded that they were siblings.
