The incident sheds light on the country’s well-documented pothole problem, turning what could have been a tragic end into a story that the family now considers a miracle.

Darshan Singh Brar’s health had been deteriorating for several days, prompting his grandson to rush him to a nearby hospital. After being diagnosed with a severe chest infection that exacerbated his pre-existing heart condition, Brar was pronounced dead after spending four days on a ventilator. However, an unexpected twist occurred during the journey home for his final rites.

As the ambulance approached Nising, near Dhand village in Haryana’s Kaithal district, it encountered a deep pothole. The family claims that moments after the impact, Brar’s grandson noticed movement in the supposedly lifeless body. Checking for a pulse and sensing signs of life, the family swiftly redirected the ambulance to the nearest hospital.

While doctors at the hospital in Karnal, where Brar was taken, couldn’t confirm the earlier declaration of death, they did acknowledge his current critical condition. Despite the scepticism surrounding the miraculous revival, the octogenarian is now breathing on his own, giving his family a renewed hope for his recovery.

Balwan Singh, one of Brar’s grandchildren, expressed gratitude, stating,

“It is a miracle, now we are hoping that my grandfather recovers soon.”

The family believes it’s a testament to divine intervention and is hoping that Brar’s health will improve in the coming days.

While this story captivates with its unusual narrative, it’s essential to approach such events with scepticism and rely on confirmed medical assessments for accurate information about an individual’s health status. The family’s unwavering faith and hope for Brar’s recovery, however, highlight the power of belief in the face of seemingly insurmountable odds.
