A 13-year-old rescue dog named Gita saved her 86-year-old wonder after leading a deputy to the injured man.
Stevens County Deputy Wright found Gita sitting alone on a rural road in Washington. When Wright couldn’t find the dog’s owner nearby, he returned to Gita, who led him up an unmarked road to a cabin.
There, Wright discovered the elderly man, who had fallen and injured his leg. Authorities credit Gita for saving her owner’s life, noting the dogs’ loyalty and heroism.
Dogs truly are a mans best friend.
