Jeremy Renner, who was struck by a snowcat vehicle on New Year’s Day, has returned home.

The actor tweeted on Monday night that he was recovering from his wounds at home with “family.” In a retweet to a message from the official Twitter account for the Paramount+ TV series Mayor of Kingstown, he provided the health update. The crime drama, in which Renner plays the lead role, debuted its second season on Sunday.

Renner commented, “I was really delighted to watch episode 201 with my family at home, despite [my] brain fog [being] in recovery.

On a private road close to Reno, Nevada, Renner jumped out just before being struck by a snowcat, according to the Reno Gazette-Journal. A snowcat is a truck-like vehicle that travels on tracks rather than wheels.

According to People magazine, Renner also uploaded a picture to his Instagram story early on Monday showing what appears to be his area close to Reno with snow dumped on the ground, trees, and buildings.

The Avengers actor posted a story on Instagram with the caption, “Missing my happy place.”

Renner was “totally crushed” by the snowcat, according to a 911 call log from the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office on January 1. The 911 caller was shouting while pleading for assistance, and Renner could be heard “moaning loudly in the background,” according to the record, which BuzzFeed News was able to access. While the caller wasn’t “certain where all the blood is coming from,” Renner was “bleeding severely from his head and other injuries.”

Following serious chest damage and orthopaedic injuries, the actor underwent surgery on Jan. 2, according to a statement provided to BuzzFeed News by Renner’s agent that same day.

On January 3, Renner posted a selfie from his hospital bed to Instagram, thanking followers for their support.

Renner commented, “Thank you everybody for your nice words. “I’m currently too messed up to type. But I send you all my love.

On January 5, he also posted a video to Twitter that showed him having a “spa time” with his mother and sister at the hospital. Renner is seen in the video getting a head massage.
