In 2011, the concept of World Radio Day was first proposed. Then, on February 13, 1946, the anniversary of the United Nations Radio’s founding, the director general of UNESCO introduced the notion of World Radio Day.
Around the world, radios have become an indispensable element of everyday life.
Here at FM96, we like to think that Radio allows us to connect with people from different walks of life. Radio allows us to keep you company, give you the latest updates and of course to provide the hottest and latest music.
Today we celebrate World Radio Day at our home 231 Waimanu Road, Suva and we’re thankful that we get to celebrate with you.
