We have officially won our first gold at SOLS with Hansel McCaig winning the Mens 50m freestyle!
This is a big deal for Fiji as we’re currently 13th on the standings table, so any and every win we get is cause for celebration at this point.
This isn’t the first medal that has been snatched up by our athletes, but it is our first gold.
Also, shout out to the rest of our athletes working tirelessly to achieve their milestones at this year’s Pacific Games, SOLS 2023!
Our current medal tally as of right now is 1 gold, 5 silver, and 2 bronze.
