Trying to save the Earth is something that we all need to be a part of, and someone who is making a difference doing so one bicycle at a time is Eliki Dakuitoga.

Dakuitoga’s initiative, Qaqi Mai: Bike Share, aims to reduce traffic congestion and pollution in Fiji’s capital. It has garnered support from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and other global institutions. This initiative is now supported through the UNDP Small Grants Programme because it is aligned with one of the United Nations’ key strategic initiatives focused on catalysing sustainable urban solutions.

So for those of us who are probably thinking about toning down, this could be a great way to get a good workout in while supporting local initiatives for an Eco-Friendly Fiji.

All it takes is one man and a dream to start change and so with that being said, just like Eliki Dakuitoga and his Bike Share Scheme we all need to have a hand in making sure the world is a safer place for future generations to come.
