Busta Rhymes dislikes having his privacy violated.
The “I Know What You Want” rapper, 50, was shown in a social media video on Tuesday aggressively slamming a drink on a woman on the street after she reached across and groped his butt.
The woman, Nikita Mathis, issued a statement to The Shade Room after the incident went viral on social media and claimed she made a mistake by touching him.
“I didn’t mean to touch his behind honestly I was just happy to meet him and wanted a pic, [I’ve] been a long-time fan. I admit I shouldn’t have touched him at all but he’s BUSTA. I felt like I could possibly get a pic,” she told the outlet.
The rapper has not addressed the incident.
Earlier this month, Busta Rhymes (real name Trevor Smith) performed with his hip-hop icons, Lil Wayne, LL Cool J, Missy Elliott and many more, at the 65th Annual Grammy Awards. During the performance, he took the stage to recite Chris Brown’s masterful verse from his 2011 single “Look at Me Now.”
“This 50th anniversary is a testament to how sacred culture can be,” he told PEOPLE on the awards red carpet.
After the awards ceremony, he shared a series of photos from his eventful night with Dwayne Johnson, Adele, Lil Uzi Vert, and more.
