The largest Marist Old Boys gathering has brought out students, parents and the MOB community to celebrate the Marist Under 18 team’s Deans victory at the Vodafone Arena.
Marist Rugby Club President and organizer of the celebration, Lawrence Tikaram says they are not only celebrating the Under 18 win but all the teams and their unshakable faith in God and belief in each other.
Brother Kees Vandewerd was the Chief Guest at the event.
Marist beat Grammar 9-8 to win the 2022 Vodafone Super Deans Trophy after 44 years.
In true celebration, some Old boys have pitched in so their year can buy 44 kg of Grog to mark this occasion. Despite the weather, former students have flooded social media to let everyone know even if it Rains, Hails, or Snows the celebration will go on.
