We have another stumbling block ahead of the rugby World Cup.

Flying Fijians Assistant Coach Richie Gray has resigned from his post with immediate effect.

Gray was the Contact/Collision Skills Coach for the Flying Fijians and worked under former Flying Fijians coach Vern Cotter since 2020.

Gray says he has always believed in his coaching career, if his Head Coach moves on or steps down at either the International or Club level, then from an integrity point of view, he must also step down.

He says he has coached with Cotter for 8 years and has a huge amount of respect, and it was a very easy decision for him to step down from his position.

Gray also wished the players and all remaining staff a successful World Cup campaign.

Meanwhile, Fiji Rugby is in process of head-hunting the Flying Fijians Head Coach, who will take the team to the Rugby World Cup in France later this year.
