Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’s Angela Bassett has won a Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress for her portrayal of Queen Ramonda, and her victory marks the first time an individual actor has won a Golden Globe or any major award for a Marvel film.
Bassett won her first Golden Globe in 1994 for her work in What’s Love Got to Do With It, and this award at the 80th Golden Globes is her second. During her acceptance speech, she took the time to share some wonderful words for the late Chadwick Boseman.

Other big winners include Steven Spielberg’s The Fablemans which won Best Motion Picture, Drama and Best Director, Motion Picture.
Best Performance by an Actor in a TV Series, Drama was scooped by Kevin Costner for Yellowstone, Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy was won by Michelle Yeoh
