As the excitement builds for the Commonwealth Games, the Fiji 7s team is feeling measured pressure as they bid to win a first Commonwealth 7s gold medal.
Coach Ben Gollings says
they have got such a good group of players and there’s actually less pressure on them to win.
But Gollings says
they are there to claim the Commonwealth Games gold.
The Fiji men’s team will play Zambia at 12.02 am Saturday.
Their second match is against Canada at 8.32 am Saturday before they face Wales at 12.02 am Sunday.
The quarter-finals will start at 7.26 am Sunday, the semifinals will be at 12.12am Monday while the Commonwealth Games 7s Gold Medal match will be at 8.26am on Monday 1st August.
Meanwhile, the Fijiana 7s team will face Scotland at 8.22 pm this Friday, they will meet South Africa in their second match at 4.30 am Saturday before they face Australia at 8.22 pm Saturday.
The semi-finals will kick off at 6.42 am Sunday while the women’s gold final will start at 8.04 am Monday 1st August.
