With the vaccination percentage reaching 70%, certain establishments were able to operate again but at a 70% capacity for fully vaxxed people.
This meant that if you are fully vaccinated, you would be able to go watch a movie in the cinemas, apart from other things, but you had to make sure that you got there before it reached its 70% capacity limit.
These certain restrictions were lifted on Monday which prompted regular movie-goers to head to their nearest movie cinema to watch the movies that were available.
The two most popular movie choices earlier this week were Shang-Chi: Legend of the Ten Rings and Venom: Let There Be Carnage. I’m a little bit jealous that most people got to watch two of the biggest movies that I’ve been waiting for all year, but I’m happy that people are revelling in the magic of watching their favourite movies on the big screen again.
A lot of us didn’t think we’d get here this fast, but here we are.
With that in mind, this is your reminder that we’re still not out of Covid’s clutches just yet, so please make sure you’re still practising Covid safety protocols.
