The rumors were fake guys!!! The creator Yuu Kamiya has dispelled recent rumors via his X (formerly Twitter) account, he saying,

“Good morning. When I woke up, I had an incomprehensible number of DMs, but they were all fake, so I would appreciate it if you would not contact me about them.” The series manga artist Mashiro Hiiragi (alongside Kamiya) added, “I thought so. I was surprised for a moment, but then I realized there was no way we wouldn’t have known about it…”
