There has always been a debate on which sport is the far more manlier sport of the two when it comes to NFL (American Football) or Rugby.

American football, referred to simply as football in the United States and Canada and also known as Gridiron Football, is a team sport played by two teams of eleven players on a rectangular field with goalposts at each end. The offence, the team with possession of the oval-shaped football attempts to advance down the field by running with the ball or throwing it, while the defence, the team without possession of the ball, aims to stop the offence’s advance and to take control of the ball for themselves.

In terms of gear American football requires a lot of equipment:

Rugby union football, commonly known simply as rugby union or more often just rugby, is a close-contact team sport that originated at Rugby School in England in the first half of the 19th century. Rugby is based on running with the ball in hand. In its most common form, a game is played between two teams of 15 players aside, using an oval-shaped ball on a rectangular field called a pitch. The field has H-shaped goalposts at both ends.

In terms of gear Rugby does not require much equipment:

Both sports are amazing in their own right, it’s safe to say that the debate on which sport is the manlier one will still be here when we’re old and gone.
