Imagine you’re a burglar and you end up breaking into a former Rugby Star and Boxers house, only to find out that the person living there can still throwdown as if they were still in their twenties.
Former Samoan rugby international Lio Falaniko’s suburban Perth house was broken into. Still, it was a big turn of events when the burglar found himself standing face-to-face with a Mountain of a Man.
Falaniko, who played in three Rugby World Cups for Samoa, was sitting in his living room thinking about which Netflix movie to watch when a man casually walked through his front door and into the hallway towards his kitchen. Upon realising he had broken into the home of one of the most imposing humans imaginable – the 196cm, 138kg Falaniko – the comparatively diminutive burglar doubled back in land-speed record time trying to get back out the door, trying to get away.
But the hulking Samoan had already jumped to his feet, grabbed the robber by the scruff of the neck and dragged him back into his worst nightmare. But since it was the festive season and Falaniko was in a forgiving mood he let the the Culprit go.
And it seems that only the festive spirit saved the would-be thief from a perilous end. In other words, “Wrong Place, Wrong Time Uce”.
