It’s a done deal! According to the Guinness Book of World Records, The Weeknd is the most well-known artist in the entire world.

The 33-year-old Canadian, whose actual name is Abel Tesfaye, broke two previous Guinness World Records by becoming the first artist to exceed 100 million monthly Spotify listeners and having the highest monthly Spotify listeners with 111.4 million.

That’s not all, either. With more than 3.47 billion listens as of Monday, The Weeknd’s 2020 song Blinding Lights is the most streamed song ever on Spotify.

Despite the Grammys snubbing the song, Blinding Lights has spent 90 weeks at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart, making it the longest-charting song ever.

No one even comes close to The Weeknd’s streaming success, which is impressive.

With 81.6 million listeners, Shakira has the most listeners, followed by Ariana Grande (80.6 million), Taylor Swift (80.2 million), and Rihanna (78.5 million).

With the phenomenal success of his most recent track, the remix of Die For You with Ariana Grande, The Weeknd set two new world records.

The rapper also holds other Guinness World Records besides these two. He received awards in 2016 for the Most Streamed Album of 2015 and the Most Consecutive Weeks by a Solo Male Artist in the Billboard Hot 100’s Top 10.
