The oldest woman to ever complete a marathon, Mathea Allansmith isn’t your normal grandmother.
At the 2022 Honolulu Marathon, she joyously crossed the finish line at the age of 92 years and 194 days, setting the record for the oldest female to complete a marathon.
The nonagenarian completed the 26.2-mile (42.1-km) course on December 11, 2022, in a respectable time of 10 hours 48 minutes.
Despite the weather, Mathea, 93, of Koloa, Hawaii, USA, runs six days a week to maintain his physical fitness.
Even while she is on vacation, she continues to run, clocking 36 miles per week.
It took the retired doctor until she was 46 years old before she started running.
The delight of Mathea’s life, she said, was crossing the finish line and becoming a Guinness World Records holder.
