This morning gave us Fijians a tough pill to swallow and that was when Fiji lost to rugby world cup giant, England, in the quarter-final match that we were all looking forward to!

Some people stayed up and never slept just to watch the game at 3 a.m. That goes to show how hard we go for our rugby.

Especially since this was one of the best teams we’ve had in a very long time. We had a chance to reach the grand final this year, but our journey was cut short and people around the world have given credit to many things regarding why our dreams were pulled out from under us this morning.

Tweets have been circulating with people saying that the refereeing was embarrassing and very unfair towards the Fijian players. Others said that some players who should’ve played earlier were put in too late into the game.

There were also some people who said that we just don’t know how to play when it comes to the quarter-finals.

Whatever the reason, we can all agree that we are all still very proud of how the boys have gone and how much their achievements mean to us.

Vinaka boys. You’ve done us proud and you did the world proper!

Come back home and rest. You deserve it.
