If you’ve never experienced a hangover in your life, then this isn’t for you so keep scrolling and move along coz there’s nothing to see here. Also, what does it feel like being God’s favorite????

But if you ARE one of us heathens that have experienced a hangover, then continue reading, because you just might need these tips for the next time you wake up regretting the decisions you made the night before.

DRINKING WATER

This is a no-brainer, to be honest.

Everyone knows that one of the main causes of being hungover is the fact that your body does not have enough water from all the alcohol/grog you were drinking the night before.

To combat that, either make sure you stay hydrated throughout the night or just keep drinking water throughout the day to flush out the toxins from your system.

 

GROG

This is probably one of my least favourite suggestions.

This suggestion is mainly for when you’re hungover from alcohol. I was told that one big bowl of the brown label should do the trick. I’ll take their word for it, but if it works for you then I guess it works.

 

HAIR OF THE DOG

“The hair of the dog that bit you” is a saying for curing whatever you got with what got you there in the first place.

This is probably the worst advice yet, because why would you cure your grog hangover with more grog or your alcohol hangover with more alcohol???? Who does that????

Apparently, some people actually do that and it works, but it only works if you drink whatever you were drinking the night before.

 

CURRY-FLAVOURED NOODLES

This one doesn’t surprise me as I’ve heard about this little cure for a while now.

It’s so ironic because I’ve never actually heard anyone talk about how delicious curry-flavoured noodles are and it only comes up when people are talking about how to cure hangovers.

 

GOING TO THE GYM

If this is your hangover cure, then we’re obviously not friends.

I was a bit surprised when this was suggested to me, but then it’s because when you sweat, you’re literally excreting the toxins from your body so the more active you are, the more you sweat and the more likely you are to feel better after your post-gym shower.

 

ORANGE JUICE

Here’s another one that surprised me.

I didn’t realize that the Vitamin C in citrus fruits would be one of the best things to happen to you during a hangover and if you didn’t already know, then you’re welcome.

So the next time you’re feeling like you got dragged through a bumpy road because you went out last night, a tall cold glass of OJ should do the trick.

 

JUST DON’T DRINK

And then we have this one.

If you have something planned the next day and you know that having a hangover will not help you in any way, then one of the best ways to avoid a hangover is to just not drink at all.
