A house Fuzhou, East China’s Fujian Province was broken into and the police couldn’t find any way to find out who the burglar was until they found a blood-filled mosquito squashed on a wall in the burgled house.

The mosquito was deduced to have taken fresh blood from the robber before meeting its fate on the wall and lucky enough, detectives found the mosquito before it was discarded by anyone else.

They took the blood samples from the mosquito and ran tests in their labs to see if they could at least get a lead.

They got more than a lead. They actually caught the robber as the test results came back and it was someone that had already been in their system for previous criminal activities.

This is probably the first time that I’ve heard of a mosquito that was actually useful to society.
