The recent visit by Miss Hibiscus 2024, Melania Tora, alongside her 1st Runner Up, Martina Sigrah, and 2nd Runner Up, Pepe Malani, to the Pearce Home in Suva was a meaningful event, paying tribute to Fiji’s first Miss Hibiscus, Liebling Marlow.
This visit, organized by the Hibiscus Committee, not only honoured the legacy of the pageant but also connected the reigning queens with a key figure from the festival’s history.

The Pearce Home, a sanctuary for elderly Fijians since the 1960s, provided a serene backdrop for the visit. Residents, many of whom have contributed significantly to Suva’s development, warmly engaged with the Hibiscus royalty.

The Committee highlighted that this gathering was a reminder of the strong connection between the Miss Hibiscus Festival and Suva’s community, emphasizing family, care, and respect for those who came before.

The event was a heartfelt reflection on the importance of recognizing the contributions of past generations, particularly through the lens of the iconic Miss Hibiscus Festival.
