Imagine yourself in a relationship where you and your partner barely laugh together. Sounds like a drag really.
Having a partner with humour is a fundamental aspect that everyone strives for.
This was highlighted by a study conducted by Jeffery Hall from the University of Kansas in the United States.
He found that couples who make fun of or tease each other or more likely to go the long mile. This establishes an understanding between the two and allows them to think of each as equals rather than someone to place on a pedestal.
After assessing over 15,000 people over 30 years he also discovered that humour continues to be the number 1 sought-after trait in a partner.
So if you and your lover are ever in a fight, just spoil them. There’s a chance that it could make the situation better or even worse.
