Yesterday, 8 out of 10 queen contestants were introduced to the public on social media and the response has been amazing so far.

Everyone is excited about the Festival this year because of the line up of contestants and as they should.

Many, if not all, of the contestants have people vouching for the fact that not only do they have beauty, but they have brains to back up their credentials as well.

Of course, in true Fiji fashion, we already have a few favorites, but in a few weeks, we will have a new Miss Hibiscus, and I personally feel like whoever it may be, she will not be a disappointment.

Not only are the contestants something to look forward to, but festival organizers have said that the float procession that will happen on the last day of the Hibiscus Festival will be similar to the kind of floats that would be showcased back in the 70s and 80s.

The video below is just some documented evidence on how amazing the floats were back in the day!

In the past few years, there have been a lot of misconceptions about queen contestants with some of them getting unfortunate attention during the public judging sessions, but that seems to be a thing of the past now with the kind of attention that our 2024 queens have been garnering lately.

The FM96 Crackfast team have been doing a little bit of a deep dive on some of the queens and best believe, that will go on until the festival actually starts at the end of this month.

You can check out the list of the 8 out of 10 contestants that will be vying for the coveted Miss Hibiscus title below.
