What a thrilling turnaround for the Fiji Kulas this afternoon against Vanuatu at the Pacific Games 2023!
The Kula’s Cema Nasau scored in the 25th minute and Adi Ceva Bakaniceva scored in the 33rd minute, prompting Fiji to a 2-0 lead against Vanuatu in their first match at the Pacific Games in Honiara.
Vanuatu came in stronger in the second half, closing the gap to a tie with the Kulas till the last 90th minute with 2 points to 2 to Fiji.
Then, Fiji Kula’s Luisa Tamanitoakula converted from the spot in injury time after a penalty was awarded.
Fiji Kulas won with 3 -2 Vanuatu.
In other news, our Fiji Bula Boys drew with Tahiti in a must-win match 0-0. So now it’s a waiting game for the match between Tahiti and CNMI. For the Bula Boys to proceed to the Semis, Tahiti will have to score less than 10 goals.
