Listen, when it comes to birthdays, nobody that’s not your parents will genuinely remember your birthday unless they’re someone you spend a lot of time with.
Facebook has been a good friend to us for the past couple of years when it comes to birthdays because of the birthday reminders that it’s always giving out.
I remember a time when people used to make a big effort to write birthday posts for their loved ones. It would usually consist of several pictures or a special video and a long paragraph describing how the person means so much to them.
Birthday posts used to be something meaningful, but now they just feel rushed and it feels like there’s no effort put into it.
Personally, I feel like if you’re not going to make an effort to make a proper birthday post for someone, just tell them in person instead.
