The 7s series is just around the corner and they will be a lot of new faces in the National colours and fresh boots in the HSBC World 7s Series.

Two players expected to lead the boys are Waisea Nacuqu and Josua Vakurunabili who will have to play a key role if Fiji is to win their first Dubai 7s title since 2015.

Nacuqu and Vakurunabili are the only two players with the experience of playing in the HSBC World 7s Series.

Together they have played more than 300 games in the 7s series.

Joseva Talacolo who was a travelling reserve for the Tokyo Olympics is also part of the team.

The first Dubai 7s competition will be held from this Friday to Sunday.

Fiji will face France at 7.22 pm Friday and will take on Canada at 10.52 pm in the second game. Fiji will take on Australia at 3.33 am Saturday in their last pool game.

The cup quarterfinals will begin at 6.28 pm Saturday, the cup semifinal will start at 10.18 pm Saturday and the final will be played at 3.26 am Sunday.
