We are very excited to let you know that in early December, we will release the first trailer for the next Grand Theft Auto,

Rockstar Games President and co-founder Sam Houser wrote in an official company post.

Rockstar first confirmed the development of the next entry in the open-world action franchise, which many gamers are calling “Grand Theft Auto 6” in the absence of an official title, back in February 2022 following years of speculation.

In September 2022, a massive leak of video footage and data from the in-development game was shared to the internet by hackers who breached Rockstar’s internal systems (the teenage hacker was later convicted). Much of that footage has disappeared due to takedown notices, but not before fans gleaned potential insights about what to expect from the upcoming game.
