In Fiji, it’s not out of the ordinary for adults to stay home with their parents, but this is usually with the understanding that they’re also contributing financially to the house and the maintenance of the family.
When you’re an adult with a job and you’re still at home with your parents, it makes sense for you to start looking after your parents as well as helping out with the affairs of the family and the house.
That was apparently not the case with a family in Italy when a woman decided to evict her grown sons from her house because they were not basically leeching off of her this whole time.
The judge granted the woman her plea and so the son’s have been told that they need to leave the house as soon as they can.
I think long story short, your parents shouldn’t be financially looking out for you your whole life unless you’re physically unable to do it yourself.
