In honour of the Dreamworks film franchise, which has a fifth instalment allegedly in the works, Crocs will cooperate with Shrek to make a special edition, ogre-inspired version of their Classic Clog.
The “Classic DreamWorks Shrek Clogs” are new Crocs that are neon green with some light brown spots to mimic Shrek’s green — and frequently dirty — appearance. On the clog holes in front of the shoe are the traditional ogre ear buttons and a button for his big snout.
A brown fuzzy back strap that resembles the well-known DreamWorks character’s recognizable brown vest from the films and connects to the shoe with an “S” inscribed in Shrek letters round out the style of the shoes.
In a press announcement, Crocs affectionately described the shoes as “wonderfully hideous.”
According to Crocs, the adult version of the Classic DreamWorks Shrek Clogs will cost $59.99, while the versions for children and toddlers will cost $49.99 and $44.99, respectively. Starting on September 13 at 12 p.m., the limited-edition shoes will be sold through a few wholesale partners globally and on crocs.com.
