Dogstar, a three-piece alt-rock band best known, fairly or not, for having Keanu Reeves serve as its bassist, reunited in force during the dormant years of the COVID-19 lockdowns.
It turns out that the last few years of nearly catastrophic, massively disruptive blows to the entertainment industry have been pretty good for Dogstar.
Now that they’re considering going on tour, it just so happens that last week’s general strike at Reeves’ place of employment occurred at a convenient time.
Dogstar, which also includes Reeves’ co-founder and fellow actor Robert Mailhouse on drums and non-thespian Bret Domrose on vocals and guitars, has been hinting at a reunion for the past few years. It is said that the band played and rehearsed for significant portions of the 2020 lockdowns.
They just performed in public for the first time in a long time, and they have since revealed their third album.
