I came across this video a few days ago about how Alcohol was a gateway to negative spirits.

Ok don’t freak out but what you’re about to watch is something that might or might not be true, BUT it gave me goosebumps.

Why is alcohol called spirits? : r/giatipedia

In some cultural and spiritual traditions, alcohol is believed to literally open gateways to malevolent spirits. For instance, in various Indigenous and religious beliefs, intoxication is thought to make individuals more vulnerable to possession or influence by harmful entities. These traditions warn against the misuse of alcohol as it can diminish one’s spiritual defenses, making them susceptible to dark influences. Whether viewed through a cultural, psychological, or spiritual lens, the concept of alcohol as a gateway to negative spirits underscores the profound impact that substance abuse can have on an individual’s well-being and the broader community.
