The entire gang—including Woody, Buzz, and the audience—are being reunited. A new feature film in the cherished animation brand, Toy Story 5, has been revealed by Disney to be in production. Disney CEO Bob Iger revealed the release date for the anticipated fifth episode of the popular Pixar series during the company’s Q1 earnings call.

A new Zootopia movie and a third instalment of the Frozen animated series were also revealed during the call, joining the news of a new Toy Story.

Regarding the other movies mentioned in the statement, Frozen 2 grossed $1.45 billion worldwide and garnered an Academy Award nomination for Best Original Song in 2020 for “Into the Unknown.”

For the 2013 original movie, “Let It Go” won Best Original Song and Best Animated Feature at the Academy Awards. The 2017 Oscar for Best Animated Feature went to Zootopia, which made $1.02 billion worldwide.
